Theme of the Week

At Pilton House, we are committed to providing a vibrant and engaging experience for our residents, and we are excited to introduce our innovative “Theme of the Week” program. This initiative aims to create a sense of adventure and exploration through culinary delights inspired by various countries from around the world or current events.

We believe that mealtimes should be more than just a means of sustenance; they should be an opportunity for residents to embark on a gastronomic journey that stimulates their senses and broadens their cultural horizons. With our “Theme of the Week,” we bring the flavors and traditions of different regions right to our dining tables.

Every week, we carefully curate a diverse selection of meals inspired by countries across the globe or aligned with significant events happening around us. Our experienced and creative kitchen team meticulously crafts menus that celebrate the unique ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques of each featured cuisine or reflect the spirit of the chosen theme.

Residents can look forward to indulging in mouth-watering dishes such as aromatic curries, sizzling stir-fries, hearty stews, delectable pastries, and so much more. Our culinary offerings are not only delicious but also cater to a variety of dietary requirements, ensuring that every resident can partake in the culinary adventure.

Beyond the delectable meals, our “Theme of the Week” program creates a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to share stories, memories, and personal connections related to the featured country or current event. It fosters a sense of community, unity, and cultural appreciation among residents, staff, and families.

We firmly believe that this immersive culinary experience enhances the overall well-being and quality of life for our residents. It brings joy, excitement, and a renewed sense of exploration to their daily lives. Through our “Theme of the Week,” we strive to create meaningful connections, promote cultural understanding, and celebrate diversity within our care home.

The Coronation

At Pilton House we love a party, and we are very partial to the Royal family! So when it came time to crown our new king we couldn’t resist having a do! Below are some pictures from the day of the food that we made from scratch to celebrate his Royal Highness, King Charles III.
